From Autumn to Ashes - Abandon Your Friends

So, my friend Michelle told me I need to listen to the new From Autumn to Ashes album... I'm always fair game for new music, and it's not like I haven't heard them before. On first listen, I thought it was pretty good, but recently it's been growing on me. Each song seems to have it's own spirit.... ranging from growling hardcore, blasting guitar work and pounding drums, to soft, melodic piano melodies with some surprisingly talented singing. There's even a few tunes one could get stuck in their head on the way to work! Talk about a well-rounded group!
You never quite know what's coming up next, but inevitably it's going to have your toe tapping or head rocking - whichever best applies to that song! That's the great thing about From Autumn to Ashes. Sure, they have all the makings of a really great post hardcore band (God knows they can scream with the best of them), but after awhile, many of these bands sound like they're being mass produced in some giant cock-rock factory outside of Newark. From Autumn to Ashes break that mold with a surprising and refreshing look at the genre!
