The Fall of Troy - Doppelgänger

Alright guys....so, it's been a while since I've done a posting...and I'm going to try and work on that! But if there's ever been a reason to break a slump, then this would be one hell of a good one! Recently I bought The Fall of Troy's latest album "Doppelgänger", and holy Christ - what ever you do, go buy this fuckin' album NOW!! The chaotic sound clash that's been streaming out of Seattle lately is just picking up steam now that these 3 guys are about to blow the lid off of the genre! If you're a fan of the chaos and hooks of Blood Brothers, the technical change-ups and instumentation of Mars Volta, or just like a good, hearty dose of crazy ass lyrics with screams that would peel the paint off of walls to boot, then this album is for you good sir. Right from the get-go on the first song "I Just Got this Symphony Goin'", you can tell you're in for an assault on the ears! Even with some of the catchier hook laden songs such as "F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.", you still can't help but bob your head to the beat! But one stand out on the album is "Whacko Jacko Steals the Elephant Man's Bones"! The fucking title alone deserves it's own damn blog post for God's sake! The breakdowns in this song alone make you want to get behind the wheel of a ridiculously fast car, floor that son of a bitch as far as it goes, take your hands off the wheel and enjoy the ride! From beginning to end, it'll make you sit up and take notice. If you appreciate musicians for pushing boundaries, musicians that fuck the mainstream and branch out of the norm, then The Fall of Troy is definitely not to be passed up.
